HIS APPOINTMENT AND PURPOSE

The birth of Jesus Christ
was an appointment
and it had a purpose attached to it.
It was preceded by various prophecies,
and the visitation by the Angel Gabriel.

Angel Gabriel is a messenger of God
delegated to visit the virgin Mary.
And he said to her, behold you shall
conceive by the Holy Ghost
and bring forth a Son,
and you shall call His name Jesus,
He shall be great,
and He shall be called the Son of the highest,
and of His kingdom, there shall be no end.
He shall save His people from their sins.
And His name shall be called Emmanuel
meaning God with us.
Jesus also means Joshua/Jeshua - Saviour.

This prophecy came to fulfilment.
Jesus Christ was born in a manger,
in the city of  Bethlehem.
The birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ
is in celebration in many parts of the world,
but Jesus Christ is much more than this.

Jesus Christ was born for a particular purpose,
And that purpose is to reconcile
the fallen man back to God.
He came to be our sacrificial lamb.
He was born, so that one day
He would begin to stand between God and man
for the forgiveness of sins.
For everyone has sinned,
we all fall short of God's glorious standard. ~ Romans 3:23.

Jesus Christ our Lord
had to pay the price
by going to the cross
to shed His blood for mankind,
For God said in His Word
that without the shedding of blood,
there is no pardon for sins. ~ Hebrews 9:22

Jesus Christ has finished
the work of redemption for us
on the cross of calvary.
God said that whosoever
shall believe on Him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

Anyone can find forgiveness of
their sins through our Lord Jesus Christ.
True peace and real joy
can only be found
in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ will give hope to the hopeless,
He will mend the broken heart,
restore those who have been down trodden.
For anyone that calls upon the
name of Jesus Christ,
He will save and deliver from sin.
and eternal destruction - Romans 10:13.
Freely Jesus has given,
freely anyone can receive,
Jesus Christ says,
Come to me, all of you
who are weary and carry heavy burdens
and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

You can really get to know Jesus Christ,
by entering into a relationship with Him.
You can receive the life of Jesus Christ
and begin to live a victorious life over
Satan, sin, sickness, depression and oppression.
For this is the reason Jesus Christ came,
that you might have life,
and have it more abundantly. ~ John 10:10.

You can call upon the name of
the Lord Jesus Christ
and ask Him to take control
of your life and He will,
if you do so sincerely.

The bible makes us to understand
that every good gift
and every perfect gift
comes from above. James 2:17.

Jesus Christ is the perfect gift
that has come unto us
from our heavenly father.

Would you like to receive Jesus Christ
as the perfect gift from God this Christmas?
You would be glad you did.
Wishing you and blessed and merry Christmas.

OPERATING THE WORD OF GOD WITH CONFIDENCE

The mind of a person can sometimes be filled with doubt and lack of confidence after praying to God concerning certain issues.

1 John 5:4 makes us to understand that: "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

How can a person develop confidence in the Word of God? Listen:

You need to know how to operate according to God's system.  First of all, you get into the Word of God.  Secondly, you believe His Word, and thirdly, you stand on His Word.  One can do no better until one knows better.

Faith is a practical expression of the confidence that you have in God and in His Word.  The key word is 'CONFIDENCE'.  Faith is going to require confidence, full trust, total reliance, and total commitment.  Be rest assured that confidence grows as you begin to exercise it.  You must spend time with God's word and experience His Word in order to develop that confidence.  When trouble or situation arises, you quickly go to the word in which you have built your confidence and have trust in.  The enemy will try to get you to throw your confidence away.  Hebrew 10:35-36 declares "Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.  For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

Do not let what you see, feel, or touch change what you say you have confidence in.

MAY YOU CONTINUALLY BE ESTABLISHED ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD IN JESUS NAME.

ONE WAY TO HEAVEN

Jesus talked about heaven: "In my father's house are many mansions.... I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me" ~ John 14:2,6.  "Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" ~ John 3:3.
Jesus said that He is the only way to God, and new birth is the only way to heaven.  What did He mean?

"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name: who were born....of God" ~ John 1:12,13.

It simply means that if you want to go to heaven, you must become a child of God by receiving  (believing in) Jesus Christ:

Confess your sins to God.
Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins.
Then you will be on your way to heaven!

7 Things that will not get you to Heaven:

  • Going to Church
  • Being Baptized
  • Keeping the commandments
  • Performing Religious duties
  • Doing Good Works
  • Going to Confession
  • Having Good Morals

CHAPTERS OF PURE GOLD

READ YOUR BIBLE.......

For it contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners and the happiness of believers.  Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.

Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy.  It contains light to direct you, food to support you and comfort to cheer you.  It is the traveller's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword and the christian's charter.

Here paradise is restored, heaven opened, and the gates of hell disclosed.  Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end.  It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet.

Read it slowly, frequently, prayerfully.  It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure,  It is given you in life, will be open at the judgement and be remembered forever.  It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labour and condemns all who trifle with its holy contents.

The Bible is a precious book that will undeniably fill your soul with it's priceless treasures. God Bless.

ETERNAL LIFE!

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condem it, but to save it. ~ John 3: 16-17

THE IMPORTANCE OF GOD'S WORD?

Q. What is the importance of God's Word in my Christian journey?

A.  The desire of God is for all his children who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour to become like His Son, Jesus Christ in all things.  He has given us all things that pertain to this life and godliness, in order for us to be conformed to the image of His Son.  2 Timothy 3:16-17 " All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  God has given us His Word in order to grow.  The Word of God will sometimes give us directions, sometimes rebuke us, sometimes correct us and in all, train us to live righteously.

As believers, the Word of God must take priority over every other thing(s) in our lives.  We must fashion our days and in the effect the whole of our lives according to the Word of God.  It is our map through His written word.
As natural food is essential to our lives on earth, so is the Word of God essential to our spiritual lives!
The Word of God is firmly established in heaven, it will never be changed, it is therefore absolutely dependable.  It is the mind of God expressly revealed to his children.  The more of the Word of God we get into our lives, the more we become like Jesus Christ.  As natural food is essential to our lives on earth, so is the Word of God essential to our spiritual lives.

Develop a life pattern of studying the Word of God and apply it to your daily life and your life will gradually begin to bear the mark of Christ Himself.

WHAT IS LIFE?

WHAT'S LIFE?

Some say it's good friends, money in your pocket, popularity, partying, having as much fun as you can for as long as you can. Is that all there is to life?

One summary of life is: "Here today, gone tomorrow!"  A popular advertisement says this: "You only go around once in life, so grab all the gusto you can."  A bumper sticker summed up life negatively this way: "Life's a bummer at best, and then you die." A really bitter answer to this question is: Life is a terminal disease."

Life is Short.  Whatever else this life is, it is short.  One book describes life this way:  It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away" (James 4:14 NKJV).  But that same book, the Bible, introduces a Man who says that He came into this world that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly (John 10:10 NKJV). The Man is Jesus Christ.

This is not religion. This is about a real person, the Son of God, who came to give you real life, eternal life-both in heaven after you die and right now.  He gives a love, peace and joy that is far better and longer lasting than any thing this world can give.

Open your eyes for a minute. Look around you.  Look deep within yourself.  Fun and games, wealth and success, sex and drugs don't last. Neither does quitting nor rebelling.  They don't fill the emptiness inside.  They only create more.  They don't add up to a good life.  In fact, they destroy it.  But look at these promises in the Bible, and see what Jesus Christ has to offer-

  • New Life: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement. but has passed from death into life" (John5:24 NKJV).
  •
  • True love: "In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him, In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (1John4:9-10 NKJV).
  •
  • Lasting Peace: "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be trouble, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27).
  •
  • Real Joy:  "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;  At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11).

Have you ever heard of this new life?  Don't be satisfied with temporary substitutes for the real thing.  Find real fulfilment in the new life that Jesus Christ can give you.  It starts the moment you confess your sins and give your life over to Him, the moment you accept Him as your Saviour.

Want to find this new life?  Get a Bible and begin reading the Gospel of John.  Really get into it.  Give yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ, and the next time you're confronted with the question, "What's life?" you'll be living the best answer of all!

Jehovah Jireh

The Lord is my shepherd I have all I need Psalm 23: 1.

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.

The Lord will give you prosperity in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, blessing you with many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops. Deuteronomy 28:11.

The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasures in the heaven and will bless all the work you do.  You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them. Deuteronomy 28:12.

If you listen to these commandments of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom. Deuteronomy 28:13.

God will supply all of your needs according to his riches in glory if you can put your trust in Him.
Place your trust in God's Word and it will work for you.
